The idea for Lara Lodge was born on a holiday to New Zealand.  On our first night we stayed at a motel where we booked and payed online, then received an email with instructions on how to get our key.  Without seeing anyone we were quite happy with our room.  We thought we could build something like this.  With help from our friends and family we decided to give it a go.
